Correction: NBC10 initially reported there was a confirmed tornado in Chester County based on information a public spotter reported to the National Weather Service. The National Weather Service confirmed Monday there were no tornadoes on Sunday.
Severe storms triggered several tornado warnings throughout our region on Sunday.

Prior to the tornado warnings, strong storms on Sunday postponed Wawa Welcome America's gospel concert at Independence Mall and impacted backyard barbecues and beach trips across the area.
Storms moved into the Philadelphia region around 3 p.m. on Sunday and continued into the evening.

A Severe Thunderstorm Watch was also issued for our entire region until 11 p.m.
Scattered showers and storms hit areas west of the city in the early afternoon. The unsettled weather gradually moved east through the late afternoon and evening.
On Monday there could be another round of severe thunderstorms as well.
The start of the work week will likely see clouds and some showers but should quickly turn sunny by noon.
On Monday afternoon, parts of the area will experience similar weather to Sunday, with showers, storms, and potentially severe storms impacting the region.
