Strong storms slammed parts of the region on Tuesday, causing flash flooding, damage and water rescues in Chester County, Pennsylvania. And, more storms hit the region on a hot and humid Wednesday, one of which took the life of a man in New Jersey.
The unidentified man was at the Burlington Country Club in Westampton Township Wednesday afternoon when he was struck by lightning. He later died from his injuries, according to officials.
Officials also confirmed with NBC10 that a person was struck by lightning in Angola, Delaware, on Wednesday.

Besides lightning, the storms also brought another flood threat. A First Alert for the threat of flooding was in effect for most of the Philadelphia region until 10 p.m. Wednesday.
By 2 p.m. as the First Alert went into effect, lightning strikes were being reported in parts of northern Delaware and South Jersey as the first of the storms hit Wednesday. A flash flood warning was in effect in parts of New Castle County in Delaware and Gloucester and Salem counties in New Jersey as 1 to 2 inches of rain quickly fell ahead of another inch of rain expected.
Strong winds and lightning strikes also were a concern during the afternoon and evening.
A severe thunderstorm warning was in effect until 3 p.m. for parts of Gloucester and Salem counties.
The heat was also uncomfortable Wednesday. A heat advisory was in effect for Philadelphia and the surrounding urban corridor until 8 p.m.
The pattern on Wednesday was almost exactly the same as what we saw Tuesday when around 7 inches of rain fell in parts of Chester County as storms brought heavy periods of rain, lightning and gusty winds Tuesday afternoon. Several water rescues were reported in Thorndale, Coatesville, West Caln Township and Sadsburyville.
Residents were warned to stay off roads when possible and not drive through water covering roadways. The mantra is "turn around, don't drown" if you see a flooded road.
Not all drivers took that advice near Route 1 and Creek Road Wednesday morning as residual flooding continued into the morning rush.
The heat breaks heading into the weekend. Expect cooler temps on the way with highs in the 80s Thursday and only upper 60s on Friday. There is a chance for showers, however, on each day with spot storms Thursday and showers or just a sprinkle on Friday.
