Major roads in Philadelphia’s Center City area will be closed due to the J.P. Morgan Corporate Challenge Road Race Series on Thursday, October 10, starting at 6 p.m.

PennDOT has postponed its planned construction work on the eastbound Schuylkill expressway due to the Phillies playoff games at Citizens Bank Park on Oct. 5 and Oct. 6. The planned bridge work in Greys Ferry has been moved to the following weekend.

Traffic is back flowing on the Northeast Extension after a crash shut down part of the interstate for hours Tuesday night. This happened between the Lansdale and Mid County Interchange after a crash involving a motorcycle closed the southbound lanes.

A crash involving a motorcycle along I-476 in Lansdale has blocked several lanes along the Northeast Extension Tuesday afternoon. No injuries have been reported so far.

Haverford Township police are investigating a road rage assault on the 2000 block of West Chester Pike in Delaware County. Police say there is no threat to the public at this time. The eastbound side of West Chest Pike is closed for the near future.

Ahead of rush hour on Tuesday, drivers through West Mount Airy were diverted as a downed tree blocked traffic at the intersection of Lincoln Drive and Wissahickon Avenue.

The Streets Department will be temporarily closing the Penrose roundabout in South Philadelphia for construction starting the week of April 8 and lasting through to the winter.

A traffic alert shutdown Route 42 for more than five hours on Thursday evening. Police closed the road due to an incident, traffic backed up for miles on I-295 and the Walt Whitman Bridge. State Police reopened the road just before 10 p.m. No details have been made clear on why the road was closed.

PennDOT announced a section of I-95 in Port Richmond will be shut down for the next several days after a truck collided with an overpass. Starting Monday night at 10 p.m. those heading northbound on I-95 in the area are being redirected to an alternate route. Four major projects will be happening at the same time around the Delaware Valley leading to many road closures on many major highways around Philadelphia. NBC10’s Johnny Archer has more on these projects and the different traffic patterns we will be seeing throughout February.

A massive sinkhole closed part of a street near Fellowship Road in Mount Laurel, Burlington County. Crews worked to drain water from the hole. Police are asking drivers to plan an alternative route for commuting as the road will remain closed on Tuesday.

A potential travel headache may be in store for some drivers in the area. The ramp from the Roosevelt Expressway to I-76 West is closed while crews work on repairs. An overturned truck caused I-95 northbound in Wilmington, Delaware to shut down for hours as crews worked to clear the area and the truck. The road is now open again.

Delaware River and Bay Authority officials announced two New Jersey-bound lanes will be closed as part of the final phase of the construction project to rehabilitate the bridge deck on the Delaware Memorial Bridge.

There was some unexpected traffic on I-95 in South Philly Wednesday morning as crews performed emergency repairs to the highway after a metal plate somehow came off. NBC10’s Brain Sheehan has the latest on the repairs that will take at least the next three nights to fix.
