Traffic is back flowing on the Northeast Extension after a crash shut down part of the interstate for hours Tuesday night. This happened between the Lansdale and Mid County Interchange after a crash involving a motorcycle closed the southbound lanes.

Route 42 in NJ reopened after hours-long shutdown
A traffic alert shutdown Route 42 for more than five hours on Thursday evening. Police closed the road due to an incident, traffic backed up for miles on I-295 and the Walt Whitman Bridge. State Police reopened the road just before 10 p.m. No details have been made clear on why the road was closed.
