A couple of Pennsylvania guys can now call themselves gold medalists as they pushed for gold in rowing at the Paris Olympics while those who know them back home cheered them on. For the Drexel University rowing community in Philadelphia, there was extra pride for alum Justin Best’s gold medal win.

“What a finish to the race, that was amazing.” Justin Best’s former Drexel University rowing coach and other members of the Drexel rowing community watched Thursday morning as Justin Best and the U.S. men’s four boat rowed to gold at the Paris Olympics. NBC10’s Brenna Weick was there as chants of “U-S-A” broke out.
