Philadelphia’s local drag queen Sapphira Cristal captured audiences with her performance on season 16 of RuPaul’s Drag Race. Ever since the classically trained opera singer and drag performer has been busy, including headlining Philly’s Pride festival and getting awarded by city council. NBC10’s Miguel Martinez-Valle sat down with her to talk about her experience.

Philadelphia sports teams are celebrating Pride Month all week long. On Tuesday, the Philadelphia Flyers threw a pride party in Fishtown to show their support and all proceeds went to the Mazzoni Center, Philly’s largest LGBTQ serving nonprofit.
