A visibly angry Joel Embiid shouted at and eventually shoved a Philadelphia newspaper columnist in a locker room altercation after the struggling 76ers lost to the Memphis Grizzlies on Saturday night. The NBA quickly said it has opened an investigation into the matter.

Philadelphia 76ers stars Joel Embiid and Paul George will both remain out with injuries for Saturday’s game against the Memphis Grizzlies. Embiid responded to criticisms over him missing early season games during an interview Friday. NBC10’s Johnny Archer has the details. 

Medical workers are sending a message to the 76ers about the team’s proposed arena in Center City—patients over profits. Their main concern is how the arena will impact ambulances rushing to get patients to Jefferson Hospital’s emergency entrance which is just two blocks away from where the arena would be.
