Joel Embiid suffered a sinus fracture Friday night in the second quarter of the Sixers’ defeat to the Pacers.

The Sixers plan to build an arena in Center City could be a reality in just one week. Cars with signs against the arena drove around City Hall on Thursday to demonstrate what traffic would be like if the arena is built. NBC10’s Aaron Baskerville has more on the bill advancing in City Council.

Philadelphia City Council postponed the first vote on the proposed Sixers arena to Thursday, Dec. 12. Negotiations were ongoing on Wednesday, but once the hearing started the council recessed multiple times as many members of the public chanted in the chamber. NBC10’s Lauren Mayk has a look at what happened at the hearing.

The Sixers’ fourth-quarter comeback came up just short Wednesday night at Wells Fargo Center and they fell to a 106-102 loss to the Magic.

Several community organization leaders gathered outside City Hall and said they do not support the proposed Sixers arena at all, but if the arena will be built it has to financially benefit Philadelphia. Many, including City Council, are asking the developers of the arena plan to increase the CBA from $50M to $300M. NBC10’s Leah Uko has more.
