Hispanic Heritage Month

Students at Chester High School in Delaware County were treated to a day of celebration, marking the end of Hispanic Heritage Month.

As part of Hispanic Heritage Month, NBC10 wants to highlight Joseph Trujillo. He’s a young meteorologist with Peruvian roots who arrived to the United States at the age of 5. While adapting to the new culture, language and climate, he found his calling. NBC10’s Janet Bolivar has his story. 

There’s a growing trend of more Latinos running for office and winning. There is currently a record number of Latinos in Congress, however they are still the minority in most legislative groups. NBC10’s Valeria Aponte Feliciano explains how the lack of representation is something that is a concern for Democrats and Republicans.
