Cherelle Parker, a Democrat with a long political history in Philadelphia, will be the city’s 100th mayor and the first woman to ever be elected to the office, NBC News projects.

Republican David Oh is trying to make some history of his own during the mayoral race. If he wins he would be the first Republican elected since the 1940s. Oh said despite being outweighed by Dems he has a path he believes could lead him to victory. NBC10’s Aaron Baskerville has more.
