Kelly Drive reopened in Philadelphia Tuesday afternoon after being closed due to flooding that took place Sunday into Monday morning.
Kelly Drive was closed between the Falls Bridge and Hunting Park Avenue Monday and Tuesday due to Schuylkill River flooding, according to the Philadelphia Office of Emergency Management.
While flooding had receded Tuesday morning, a muddy mess and debris remained on the roadway.

Crews worked to remove the mud and debris. Tuesday afternoon, the Philadelphia Office of Emergency Management announced that Kelly Drive had reopened.
The mess along Kelly Drive was just one example of flooding throughout the region left by inches of heavy rain Sunday into Monday.
