Fall has arrived and with the pumpkin spice, falling leaves and cooling temps come plenty of festivals, runs, parades and other events that will leave roads in Philadelphia blocked.
First a look at a big event that is actually causing a road that would normally be closed for recreation to open up this weekend:
Head of the Schuylkill Regatta

The 54th annual Head of the Schuylkill Regatta brings rowers to the Schuylkill River and oddly enough, no road closure.
"MLK Drive will remain open to motor vehicles as it serves as a key point of access for regatta competitors and audience members," Philadelphia officials said.
When? Saturday and Sunday with races starting around 8 a.m. each day.
What streets will be closed? None

Gritty 5K
Philadelphia sports fans are encouraged to channel their inner Gritty and even dress up like the beloved Flyers mascot for this annual run that mostly takes place in FDR Park and the parking lots of the South Philly sports complex. The race supports Flyers Charities.
When? Ceremonies begin around 7:45 a.m.
What streets will be closed? Here's a map showing the route -- that includes a section of South Broad Street.
US Night Market
A stretch of South Street west will be closed for a night market that looks to be for everyone. The US Night Market will feature food trucks, crafts, vendors, live music and children's activities, according to organizers.

When? 6 p.m. to 10 p.m.
What streets will be closed? South Street between 21st and 23rd streets. No parking signs for much of the day are posted on adjacent streets as 21st, 22nd and 23rd streets could be closed.
Fall Fest at the Triangles
Pumpkins, music, food trucks and a costume contest highlight the Fall Festival at SOSNA Grays Ferry Triangles at Grays Ferry Avenue and South Street.
When? 1 p.m. to 7 p.m.
What streets will be closed? Expect the closures of Grays Ferry Avenue/23rd Street between South and Bainbridge streets.
