Service has been restored on one of two SEPTA regional rail lines impacted by downed wires on Monday afternoon, officials said.
Downed overhead wires near 30th Street Station in Philadelphia led to repairs that interrupted service on the Paoli-Thorndale and Cynwyd lines shortly after 4 p.m.
Just before 7 p.m., SEPTA said that service was restored on the Paoli-Thorndale line. They have yet to provide an update on service restoration on the Cynwyd line, however service typically ends in the 6 p.m. hour on the Cynwyd line. The next scheduled train is at 6 a.m. Tuesday.

SEPTA added that service remains suspended between Malvern and Thorndale stations, and that boarding procedures have changed at 30th Street Station until repairs are fully completed.
A SEPTA spokesperson said the issue was with Amtrak and the transit agency sent workers to make the repairs. The repairs led to SEPTA suspending their Cynwyd and Paoli-Thorndale lines in both directions at the height of the evening rush.
Passengers on the Paoli-Thorndale line returned to 30th Street Station and were transferred to a shuttle bus.

Officials have not yet revealed the cause of the downed wires. No injuries have been reported.
