Amtrak restores service between Philly, NY. NJ Transit, SEPTA was also impacted

Commuters should still expect delays and officials said updates will come as more information becomes available

Amtrak officials announced that service has resumed between Philadelphia and New York but commuters should expect delays.

According to officials, Amtrak crews were able to identify and resolve the communication issue causing the earlier switch and signal outage.

Other transportation services had been disrupted due to the communication issues with Amtrak. SEPTA announced earlier Friday that service in Trenton had been suspended.

Additionally, NJ Transit service has been suspended but all rail service on the Northeast Corridor, Raritan Valley Line and North Jersey Coast Line has resumed but travelers should expect delays.
