Weyant, Flickinger Win Silver, Bronze in Women's 400 IM Final

Weyant and Flickinger kept the U.S. Olympic swimming team's streak alive, winning silver on Saturday night

Emma Weyant won the silver medal and U.S. teammate Hali Flickinger won the bronze in the women’s 400m individual medley at the Tokyo Olympics.

Weyant and Flickinger extended a 17-year streak of American women winning a medal in the 400 IM at every Olympics.

The gold medal went to Japanese swimmer Yui Ohashi who clocked in at 4:32.08.

Weyant and Flickinger's medals are just the latest in an epic haul for the U.S. on Day 2 that started off with Chase Kalisz winning gold and Jay Litherland winning silver in the men's 400 IM.

Kieran Smith won bronze in the 400m freestyle shortly before the U.S. women hit the pool and after the women's 4x100 freestyle relay, anchored by Simone Manuel finished third.
