The Philadelphia Marathon is this Sunday, Nov. 19, and for those of you who want to drive, not run, in the city between 6 a.m. and 3 p.m., we’ve got the full list of road closures.
According to the Philadelphia Police the following roads are closed on Sunday:
- Kelly Drive - the entire length / 6:00AM to 3:00PM
- Martin Luther King Drive - the entire length / 6:00AM to 12:00PM
- Eakins Oval/Parkway - Art Museum to 22nd Street / 4:00AM to 2:00PM
- Ben Franklin Parkway - 16th Street to 20th Street / 6:00AM to 9:30AM
- Ben Franklin Parkway - 20th Street to 22nd Street / 6:00AM to 2:00PM
- Arch Street - 16th Street to 4th Street / 7:00AM to 8:00AM
- 4th Street - Arch Street to Race Street / 7:00AM to 8:00AM
- Race Street - 4th Street to Columbus Blvd / 7:00AM to 8:15AM
- Columbus Boulevard (S/B lanes) - Vine Street to Washington Avenue / 7:15AM to 8:30AM
- S/B I-95 at Washington Avenue / 7:15AM to 8:15AM
- Washington Avenue - Columbus Boulevard to Front Street / 7:30AM to 8:15AM
- Front Street - Washington Avenue to South Street / 7:15AM to 8:30AM
- South Street - Front Street to 6th Street / 7:15AM to 9:00AM
- 6th Street - South Street to Chestnut Street / 7:30AM to 9:00AM
- Chestnut Street - 6th Street to 34th Street 7:30AM to 9:30AM
- W/B I-76 at 30th Street Exit / 7:30AM to 9:00AM
- 34th Street - Chestnut Street to Girard Avenue / 7:30AM to 10:00AM
- W/B I-76 at Girard Avenue Exit / 7:30AM to 10:00AM
- Ridge Avenue - Midvale Avenue to School House Lane / 8:00AM to 1:00PM
- Main Street - Ridge Avenue to Green Lane / 8:00AM to 1:00PM
All numbered streets crossing the Parkway, except for 21st & 22nd Streets will be open. Cross traffic throughout the marathon will be pulled through the gaps in the race. Sufficient police personnel will be assigned, but delays can be expected.
