The Chiefs opened the 2020 NFL regular season Thursday night against the Texans in Kansas City, with fans in Arrowhead Stadium - albeit a limited number, because of the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic.

NFL sidelines will be full of personnel wearing masks this year, because while players are regularly tested for the virus, you can't be too safe, particularly with coaches who are a bit older than the players.

Enter Chiefs head coach and Eagles legend Andy Reid, who is 62 years old and is therefore taking health and safety very seriously on the sidlines.

Not only did Reid have a standard-issue Chiefs cloth cover-up on ahead of kickoff on Thursday, but he also donned an innovative piece of NFL/COVID-19 technology.

That's excellent.

It's an extremely Andy Reid gesture - taking all the proper precautions and respecting the issue of safety, while also being himself. Stay safe, Big Red.

I wonder if Eagles head coach Doug Pederson will call Reid after the game to try and get a visor version ahead of the Birds' Week 1 matchup with Washington on Sunday.
