A Philadelphia woman is demanding an apology after she claims she was turned away from a Sixers game at the Wells Fargo Center on Oct. 18 because of her outfit.
Shaliah Rismay told NBC10 she was wearing stockings, a leotard, and a leather jacket to last week's Sixers game against the Chicago Bulls. When she arrived, however, she said she was stopped by security.
Here's a look at what Rismay was wearing to the game.
So @sixers what wrong with my #muse dressing like a #cheerleader to the #game ? 🤔 you made me buy a #hoodie from #giftshop to #cover !!! #smfh #fashionpolice #callinglawyers #discrimination pic.twitter.com/xku57mi7nz— Reuben Harley (@BigRubeHarley) October 19, 2018
Rismay was accompanied by Philly photographer and marketing guru Big Rube, who has been especially critical of the way the Sixers handled the situation.
"What happened here was straight discrimination," he told NBC10. "That was utterly embarrassing to have 15 men surround her so nobody else could see her. This happened at the tip off. We didn't get in the game at half time."

Big Rube indicated that he and Rismay were only allowed into the game once he purchased a hoodie for her to wear and cover up.
Big Rube may take legal action against the team, telling NBC10 that an apology isn't enough and he's getting his lawyers involved.
A spokesperson for the 76ers told NBC10 the organization doesn't have a dress code and that they didn't find out about the incident until Monday. The spokesperson for the 76ers told NBC10 that they're working on a statement.
