Briar Jones, a 10-year-old patient at Nemours Children’s Health, threw out the ceremonial first pitch before the Phillies home opener on Monday. In September of last year, Briar was hit by a car while riding his bike and suffered severe injuries. After surgery and numerous physical therapy sessions, Briar’s care team of clinicians at Nemours helped him and his family through the recovery process. He was joined for the pitch by his Nemours Care Team while Phillies player Brandon Marsh caught the ball.
