As I've stated many times, free beer is great. And Lane Johnson's pact with Bud Light to bring free beer to the citizens of Philadelphia is wonderful.
But you know what's even better than free beer from an international beer conglomerate?
Free beer from a local Philly joint.
Yards Brewing Co. will offer a free Philly Pale Ale to fans who wander off the parade route and over to their beautiful and spacious new tasting room on Spring Garden Street.
We might not be able to get everyone a beer but we can try. ;) Fans get a free #PhillyPaleAle on us Thursday 2/8 in the taproom while we celebrate our championship team. #GoBirds #YARDS #BrewUntoOthers pic.twitter.com/2KFTNp9Nan— Yards Brewing Co. (@yardsbrew) February 7, 2018
BillyPenn.com's Danya Henninger spoke with Yards founder and president -- and big Birds' fan -- Tom Kehoe about the fantastic gesture.

"We've waited so long," Kehoe said, "that it just doesn't seem right Philadelphians should be drinking a foreign owned, mass produced beer on such a proud day in our city's history."
Hard to argue with that.
So, that's at least two beers you can get gratis thanks to Doug Pederson and Nick Foles' having the gutsiest of guts. I'm going to guess a parade goer or two with a backpack will kindly offer you a can somewhere else along the way.
The parade is going to be lit. See you there. Drink responsibly.
