An alleged drug dealer has reportedly denied that two professional football players were his clients.
During opening arguments, prosecutors named ex-Eagle Correll Buckhalter and ex-Soul player Keita Crespina as former buyers of alleged drug dealer Styles Beckles.
Thursday, Beckles took the stand in his own defense testifying he did not sell drugs to Buckhalter or Crespina, according to Philly.com.
On the stand Beckles admitted that he knew both football players but that he never sold either athlete drugs.
Beckles, 36, is on trial in Delaware County on charges of drug possession with the intent to sell.
Buckhalter recently signed a free agent contract with the Denver Broncos. NBC Philadelphia was unable to get comment from Buckhalter or Crespina about the allegations.
Buckhalter's agent John Rickert also had no comment.
