Vice President Kamala Harris made a trip to Berks County on Tuesday to help get voters ready for upcoming elections this fall. She spoke at Reading Area Community College to highlight National Voter Registration Day. This is all part of the Vice President’s effort to keep students engaged in politics. NBC10’s Lauren Mayk has coverage from the event.

The push is on to get people registered to vote for the 2023 elections and beyond.

Tuesday marked Voter Registration Day nationwide.

"60% of eligible voters are never asked to register," the Voter Registration Day website says. "You don’t have that excuse. Register now."

As part of the voter registration efforts in the critical presidential election swing state of Pennsylvania, Democratic Vice President Kamala Harris spoke to college students at Reading Area Community College Tuesday, urging them to be involved in the electoral process.

It is National Voter Registration Day and events were held all over Philadelphia to help make sure those eligible to vote get registered. This comes as voters get ready to choose who will be the next mayor of Philadelphia. NBC10's Miguel Martinez-Valle has the details from Center City.
