Joe Biden Chooses Kamala Harris as Running Mate

Presumptive Democratic presidential nominee Joe Biden has chosen U.S. Sen. Kamala Harris as his vice presidential pick for the 2020 ticket. Biden, the former Vice President and longtime Senator from Delaware, once sparred with Harris on the debate stage. But Harris had a strong friendship with Biden’s late son, Beau, when they were both attorneys general. If elected, Harris would be the nation’s first female, first Black and first Asian American vice president.
