3 Cheers for Gov. Christie's Landslide Victory

Gov. Chris Christie was greeted by cheering staff as he walked through the front doors of the New Jersey Statehouse Thursday for the first time since winning a landslide re-election.

Staff members lined the halls and applauded as Christie returned to work full-time after winning a second term by 22 points.

The possible 2016 GOP presidential candidate shook hands and was kissed by well-wishers. He also spoke with a Girl Scout troop touring the historic building.

The governor had no public events on his schedule. He met privately with Republican state senators who were choosing a leader on Thursday.

At his first postelection event in Union City, in Hudson County, Christie said he would continue to push education reforms so that all students can attend high-quality schools.
