In the wake of the Internet uproar over Rihanna's decision to wear a see-through gown to Monday's CFDA Awards in New York City, the singer changed her Twitter avatar to make light of the situation.
Enlisting the help of cartoon dad Peter Griffin of "Family Guy" fame, Rihanna changed her Twitter icon and tweeted a side-by-side nipple-baring composite of herself wearing the much-discussed dress and Griffin decked out in exactly the same outfit.
Rihanna accompanied the tweet with the line: "He gets it!"
The "Stay" singer became an online sensation moments after she stepped onto the CFDA red carpet in the glittering custom made gown by designer Adam Selman that was adorned with more than 200,000 Swarovski crystals.
Leaving little to the imagination, Rihanna's outfit was perhaps a pointed reference to her shut-out on Instagram. The social media juggernaut banned the singer after she posted a topless image of herself on the picture sharing site.
Many Instagram users, including Bruce Willis' daughter Scout, have since protested the site's nudity policy.

"Fashion has just been an outlet for me to express myself," she said in accepting the award Monday, after being introduced by Vogue's Anna Wintour. "I just like to have fun with it."
Rihanna's fashion edict? "There are rules, but rules are meant to be broken," she said.
Peter Griffin agrees.
