An American Airlines flight carrying 145 passengers made an emergency landing at Philadelphia International Airport Friday night.
The Airbus 320 was on its way to Seattle when the pilot reported an indication of a fire according to an airport spokesperson. The pilot did not observe any smoke or flames on board, they said.
The flight then turned back to return to Philadelphia.
Police said multiple 911 callers reported seeing flames coming from the engine of the plane in the sky near the airport. Many reports of flames coming from the plane could also be found on social media.

The American Airlines plane landed safety and taxied to the terminal.
No injuries were reported.
A passenger reported that they had boarded a new plane to take to Seattle.
