Israeli Shells Kill 15 at U.N. School in Gaza

At least 15 people were killed and 90 were wounded after Israeli tank shells hit a U.N. school used as shelter for refugees in the Gaza war early on Wednesday, a health official and a spokesman for a U.N. aid agency said, The Associated Press reported. The Israeli military said mortar shells had been fired from near the school, and that soldiers fired back. The strike came a day after fuel tanks at Gaza’s only power plant came under attack, threatening the only energy provider for the territory's 1.8 million citizens.
