The first significant winter storm of 2025 pounded parts of the Philadelphia region on Monday, Jan. 6, leaving some spots in Delaware and New Jersey with at least half a foot of snow and counting.

Kids from Delaware to South Jersey to Delaware County took advantage of a snow day by flying down hills. Kids at Rockford Park in Wilmington, Delaware, showed us what it was like to zip past others. And, the Brandywine Valley SPCA shared videos of adoptable dogs frolicking in the snow.

From Wildwood down to Cape May, Monday’s snow left a blanket of fluffy snow on some of the icons along the way and also led to slow driving on the Garden State Parkway. NBC10’s Ted Greenberg reports.
