Police Search for Suspect in Salem County Home Invasion

Police are searching for a man who allegedly attacked a woman during a home invasion in Salem County, New Jersey.

Woodstown State Police say the 24-year-old woman was inside her home around 10:30 p.m. Saturday when she heard the front door open. Police say she went to check to see who had opened the door and saw a man standing in the foyer of her home.

According to the woman, the man approached her and threw her down onto a glass table which shattered. Police say she was able to fight off the man. Investigators say the suspect ran from the scene.

Police released the above sketch of the suspect. Investigators say he is in his mid to late 20’s, approximately 5-foot-10 with a thin build. He was wearing a black t-shirt and baggy light blue jeans. Investigators say he also has a small mark on the right side of his neck, possibly a birth mark or scar.
