A man is accused of setting a fire at a Wawa gas station on the 7000 block of East Roosevelt Boulevard in Philadelphia's Mayfair neighborhood

Vandals damaged the gas pumps at a Wawa store in Philadelphia’s Mayfair neighborhood. 

A man is in custody after he allegedly set a fire at a Wawa gas station in Philadelphia's Mayfair neighborhood.

Police responded to a fire at the Wawa on the 7000 block of East Roosevelt Boulevard around 12:45 a.m. on Tuesday. When they arrived, they found several gas pumps at the station that were damaged.

Police then arrested a 37-year-old man at the scene. The man, who police have not yet identified, lit a fire between the gas pumps, according to investigators.

The man was taken into custody and the incident was declared an arson. No injuries have been reported.
