A twin brother and sister were arrested for allegedly striking a man with a car on purpose and then fleeing the scene.
Robert Springer, 25, of Sewell, New Jersey is charged with murder and other related offenses while his twin sister, Jessica Springer, is charged with tampering with evidence and hindering.
According to investigators, Springer's Chevrolet Malibu struck Eddie Lee Warthen, 30, along the 100 block of E Madison Street near North Commerce Street in Paulsboro, N.J. around 4:30 a.m. on Sunday.
Warthen was taken to Cooper Medical Center where he was pronounced dead at 7:30 a.m. that same day.
An autopsy determined that Warthen's death was the result of a traumatic injury. Investigators also determined that he was intentionally struck by the car.
On Tuesday, police announced that they arrested the Springer twins in connection to Warthen's death. They also say they recovered the Chevrolet Malibu as well as a discarded weapon.
Robert Springer is currently being held in default of $500,000 bail.
Jessica Springer, who investigators say is being held in default of $10,000 bail.
Warthen's death left family members crushed.

"He always had a smile on his face and he was a good man," said Warthen's cousin Thomas Young.
