Truck-Crashing Man Says He's ‘Not a Monster'

The man charged with intentionally crashing his truck into a car dealership claims it was an accident.

A western Pennsylvania man charged with intentionally ramming his truck into the front of a car dealership says the crash was an accident.

Robert Snatchko Jr. tells WTAE-TV he thought his truck was in park when he got out to put out a cigarette in front of Vasko Dodge on Tuesday. He says the truck rolled slowly into the front of the building.

Police say Snatchko intentionally rammed his Dodge Ram 1500 pickup into the Washington County dealership because he was upset a roadside assistance program didn't cover him when his keys were locked inside the truck.

Investigators say Snatchko threatened to crash the truck into the glass-fronted building during a phone call Monday.

Snatchko tells WTAE he's not a "monster." A preliminary hearing is scheduled for November 22.
