Teen critically injured in North Philly shooting, police say

Police are investigating after a 16-year-old boy was found after he was shot in the back and abdomen in an incident that happened in Cecil B. Moore Ave on Sunday night

A 16-year-old boy was shot in North Philadelphia along the 1900 block of Cecil B. Moore Avenue. The boy was in critical but stable condition and no suspects have been identified at this time.

A teenage boy was injured in a shooting in North Philadelphia on Sunday night, officials said.

According to police, officers found the boy when they responded to a shooting that happened on Sunday, Dec. 1, at around 7:33 p.m. along the 1900 block of Cecil B. Moore Avenue. 

Here, officials said, a 16-year-old boy was found after he had been shot in the back and abdomen. Police transported the victim to the hospital, where he was placed in critical but stable condition, officials said.

According to the police, there have been no arrests and no information on suspected gunman -- or gunmen -- has yet been provided by law enforcement officials.

An investigation into this incident is active and ongoing, officials said.
