2 Pilots Injured in Glider Crash: Officials

Two pilots are in the hospital after a glider crash.

Two pilots are in the hospital after a glider crash.

It happened at the Philadelphia Glider Port on Route 152 in Perkasie.

Police say a glider crashed into trees. The pilot, 65-year-old Edward Ingram, suffered injuries to his back and legs. He was flown to the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania.

Another pilot, 68-year-old Haven Goulding Jr., suffered injuries to his face, chest and head. He was flown to Abington Hospital. Police say both men were experienced pilots and training instructors. Investigators have not yet released any information on their conditions. .

The FAA is currently investigating the cause of the crash.
