Trio of Rings Could Help Identify Skeletal Remains of Young Woman Found in State Park

Pennsylvania State Police continue to try and identify the skeletal remains found on New Year’s Day in Ridley Creek State Park.

Police have released photographs of three rings in hopes that someone can identify skeletal remains found in an eastern Pennsylvania state park.

State police say a hiker found the badly decomposed body of a young woman in Ridley Creek State Park in Media on New Year's Day.

Authorities on Monday released photographs of rings that they believe belonged to the woman. Police say the jewelry found inside the clothing of the woman appear to be yellow-gold but worn and rusted over time. One is an Irish Claddagh ring set with a green stone. Another appears to have an engraved "F'' in Palmer Method cursive. The third is a tarnished ring with a large, dark stone.

Anyone who may be able to identify the jewelry is asked to contact state police at 484-840-1000.
