A wrong-way driver led to a multi-vehicle crash on Route 1 in Bucks County Sunday night, officials said.
Police told NBC10 a vehicle was traveling the wrong way in the northbound lanes on Route 1 between I-95 and Route 213 in Middletown Township and collided with three other cars. A separate accident with two other vehicles also occurred on Route 1 around the same time.
Six people in all were hurt in the crashes. The most seriously injured victim was the man who was driving the wrong way, police said. Officials suspect the driver was under the influence though they have not yet confirmed this.
Police have not yet revealed the exact conditions of the victims though they don't believe the injuries are life-threatening.
Northbound lanes of Route 1 were closed between I-95 and Route 213 due to the accident. They later reopened.
