A High Wind Warning is in effect for the entire area until 10 p.m. Wednesday. The winds will continue to pick up throughout the morning and really howl in the afternoon and evening.
Some advice if you have outdoor New Year's Eve plans. Go with the "messy" hairstyle or invest in a lot of hairspray. Winds will be howling over 50 miles-per-hour, at times.
