A 14-year-old boy has pleaded guilty to murder in connection to the brutal beating of a homeless man outside a Philadelphia gas station.
Fifty-one-year-old Robert Barnes died in November, seven months after the assault left him in a coma.

Barnes and a teenager were pumping gas for spare change, said police. The teen later accused Barnes of hitting him, prompting the attack.
The Philadelphia Daily News reports a 14-year-old boy pleaded guilty Tuesday to third-degree murder and conspiracy under a plea deal in Family Court. He is to be committed for two years at a residential-treatment facility where he was placed last year following his plea to an aggravated-assault charge.
Two other juveniles have hearings scheduled on Jan. 22. Three women also face murder charges.
