Caught on Cam: Man With Toddler Robs Philly Rite Aid: Police

A man was caught on camera robbing a Rite Aid in East Germantown while with a toddler, police said.

Police are searching for a man who they say was caught on camera robbing a Philadelphia Rite Aid while with a toddler.

The unidentified man and young boy entered the Rite Aid on the 1300 block of East Washington Lane back on March 14 at 4 p.m. The man then stole two boxes of diapers with a total value of $60 and then left the store, police said.

As the suspect was pulling out of the parking lot in a blue vehicle, a loss prevention officer approached him and asked him to return the stolen items, according to investigators. The suspect allegedly threatened to shoot him and reached into his waist area. The officer said he backed away from the vehicle and then notified police.

The suspect is described as a black male between the ages of 28 and 30 with a light brown complexion standing 5-foot-7 and weighing between 160 and 180 pounds with a goatee. He was last seen wearing a red hooded sweatshirt, blue jeans and red sneakers with yellow laces.
