Philadelphia Police Search for Kensington Robbery Suspects

Police in Philadelphia are searching for two men with guns who held up a atore on the corner of Tioga and Lee Streets.

Philadelphia Police are seeking to identify two suspects who robbed a corner market in Kensington Dec. 23.

The two men entered El Gallo Grocery Store, on Tioga Street near Lee, about 9:18 p.m., pointed handguns at an employee and demanded money while forcing a customer to the floor, police said.

After taking a cellphone from the customer and $20 from another man, one of the suspects took an undetermined amount of money from behind the counter while the other suspect said "shoot him in the leg."

Both suspects then fled and were last seen headed east on Tioga Street.

The first suspect is described as a Hispanic man about 5 feet 7 with a stocky build who weighs about 210 pounds. He wore a ski mask, and Nike jacket, black pants and black boots.

The second suspect is described as a thin man with a light complexion who weighs about 185 pounds. He wore a black scarf around his face, black windbreaker, black pants and black sneakers.
