A man was caught on camera breaking the window of the Center City Macy’s store during the Eagles Super Bowl Victory celebration.
Philadelphia Police are searching for a man who was caught on video smashing in the windows of the Center City Macy’s store while fans celebrated the Eagles Super Bowl win Sunday night.
Cellphone video shows a masked man smashing the windows of the Macy’s on 1300 Market Street around 9:30 p.m. Sunday. Police also obtained photos of the man unmasked.

Philadelphia police arrested eight people following the Eagles Super Bowl win Sunday. On Wednesday they released their mugshots and charges against them.

Robert Ehlers, 39, of Morrisville, Pennsylvania (L), and Brendon Lopez, 24, of Bristol, Pennsylvania (R), are both charged with institutional vandalism and criminal mischief. Police say both men were on the 3600 block of Chestnut Street Sunday spray painting the loading dock just west of the Wawa store. One of the men then took pictures of the graffiti on the wall after spraying it, police said. The men walked west and were stopped by police on the 3800 block of Chestnut Street. Police say they were carrying a can of spray paint and ink markers that they allegedly used to spray paint several other locations at the University of Pennsylvania.

Malcolm Cox, 28, of Philadelphia, is charged with aggravated assault, simple assault and other related offenses. Cox allegedly threw a bottle containing an unknown substance that struck a police vehicle that was stopped on the 1400 block of Morris Street shortly before 11 p.m. Sunday. The substance splattered the officer's patrol jacket and shoes, police said. Cox fled the scene but was apprehended after a brief foot chase, according to investigators.

Rubin Garrido, 28, of Philadelphia, is charged with simple assault, recklessly endangering another person and other related offenses. Police say Garrido greeted another man on the 1400 block of Bach Place around 1:25 a.m. Monday. Later on, Garrido allegedly took off his brown belt and buckle and struck the other man on the left side of his head, causing a laceration. A witness notified a nearby officer who arrested Garrido.

Alexander Mawescu, 26, of Philadelphia, is charged with disorderly conduct. Mawescu allegedly approached a police line on 100 North Broad Street around 1:30 a.m. Monday and was ordered by officers to step back. Mawescu, who investigators say was intoxicated, allegedly ignored their commands and began banging on the police shields despite being told several times to stop. He then allegedly charged at the police line before being arrested and taken into custody.

Mark Thomason, 28, of Philadelphia, is charged with aggravated assault, simple assault and other related offenses. A 41-year-old man told investigators he was covering the Eagles fan celebration for work and taking photos on the 200 block of S. 15th Street around 2:10 a.m. Monday when Thomason approached him. Thomason wanted to talk to the man but the man told him he couldn't talk because he was working. Thomason allegedly became hostile and agitated. He then allegedly smashed the victim's camera in his face and then punched him in the mouth and face six times. Police responded to the assault and arrested Thomason at the scene, investigators said. The victim suffered a gash over his right eye, cuts inside his mouth, swollen lips and scrapes as well as bruises on his elbow.

Veasna Sary, 24, of Philadelphia, is charged with criminal mischief and propulsion of a missile. Police say Sary threw a bottle at a moving unmarked city police vehicle on 1200 S. Broad Street around 1:20 a.m. Monday. The bottle struck the rear windshield of the vehicle, causing scratching and chipping on the window. He was taken into custody by nearby officers and transported to Methodist Hospital where he was treated for injuries he suffered during a fight prior to the incident, police said.

John Rigsby, 20, of Malvern, Pennsylvania, is charged with causing and risking a catastrophe, criminal mischief, riot and other related offenses. Police say Rigsby and several others were crowded around a silver 2017 Nissan Rogue SUV on the 1400 block of Walnut Street around 11 p.m. Sunday. The group allegedly grabbed hold of the vehicle and flipped it over onto its driver's side door, causing dents and scratches. Rigsby was later arrested on Tuesday.
