Philadelphia Eagles, Wawa partner for popcorn factory that employs autistic and disabled adults
The Philadelphia Eagles Autism Foundation and Wawa have invested in a multimillion dollar popcorn making facility. This initiative is creating more job opportunities for the neuro diverse community as the labor department reports at least 85% of people on the autism spectrum are unemployed. A dollar from every bag of popcorn sold goes directly to the foundation to fund future community grants. NBC10’s Rosemary Connors explains the initiative.
