A suspect in a Tuesday morning stabbing at the 69th Street Transportation Center in Upper Darby was captured in Philadelphia, police said.
The stabbing occurred shortly before 9:30 a.m. inside the terminal near the fare gates for the Market-Frankford Line, according to investigators.
“I seen the two guys. Was talking. And then just like in a blink, cuz gripped him up, threw him against the wall. Stabbed him. I’m like, ‘Oh! Oh no,’” Xavier Henderson, who witnessed the attack, told NBC10. “Cuz crawling up the steps. Was so much blood. And then people started crying, trying to help him and all that.”

Police say the stabbing suspect hopped on an El train headed towards Philadelphia.
A source with SEPTA sent NBC10 a surveillance photo of the suspect.
SEPTA's camera system as well as teamwork with Upper Darby Police and Philadelphia Police helped investigators find the suspect, officials said. Around noon, officials told NBC10 the suspect was captured on 51st and Arch streets in Philadelphia by SEPTA Police.

“So he gets off of the SEPTA system but then other surveillance cameras – city surveillance cameras – were able to pick him up and place him at a residence not far from the 52nd Street Station,” SEPTA spokesperson Andrew Busch said.
The victim of the stabbing underwent surgery at the hospital and is currently in critical condition.
