A person died after being hit by a car on Roosevelt Boulevard in Northeast Philadelphia Monday morning.

Police said the victim was struck by a car while crossing in the southbound inner lanes of the Boulevard at Harbison Avenue, in the Oxford Circle neighborhood. The victim died at the scene.

The driver did stop at the scene, police said. Officers from the Accident Investigation Division were at the scene investigating the deadly crash. The victim had not yet been identified about 6:30 a.m. Monday.

All six southbound lanes were shut down about 7 a.m. as police investigated the deadly crash. All lanes were eventually reopened.
