A pickup truck struck a subcontractor working for PennDOT in Delaware County Tuesday morning.
The incident happened in the northbound lanes of Route 1 in Middletown around 9:20 a.m.
According to PennDOT, a subcontractor was picking up trash from the roadway when he was struck.
The worker was medevaced to Jefferson University Hospital in Philadelphia with non-life-threatening injuries, said state police..
The victim is an employee of a company that is contracted by PennDOT to clean up trash from the roadways.
The incident remained under investigation Tuesday afternoon but police didn't expect to file any charges.
