Officials crack down on unlicensed short-term rentals in Cape May, NJ

To legally be on the rental market in historic Cape May, houses must have a fire safety inspection every year. But officials say a recent review revealed 20% to 40% of the short-term rental properties listed were not registered with the city, a requirement that costs hundreds of dollars for a license.
