Officer Shot in NJ, Suspect Allegedly Took Their Own Life

A police officer was shot after a suspect allegedly shot a civilian and took their own life. Phillipsburg police say the officer was responding to a domestic call when the suspect opened fire on the officer, hitting them. The officer attempted to return fire before the suspect allegedly took their own life. Both the officer and civilian who were shot are in the hospital.
