At least one person died in a wrong way crash that left at least one car partially wrapped around a pole in Northeast Philadelphia early Monday.
At least two cars collided around 1:35 a.m. along Levick Street, near Farnsworth Street in the Mayfair neighborhood, Philadelphia police accident investigators said.
"A Chevrolet and Audi were both travelling northbound on Roosevelt Boulevard in the outer lanes at high rate of speed," police said in a news release. "Both vehicles turned eastbound on Levick Street, which is one-way westbound."

The Chevy driver struck a pole before the Audi crashed into the back of the car, police said.
A rear passenger in the Chevy -- 21-year-old Steven Thompson of Norristown, Montgomery County -- died at the scene and another rear passenger was hospitalized in critical condition, police said. Four others in the cars were hurt and listed in stable condition.
Two people had to be extricated from the Chevy wreckage, a Philadelphia fire official said.

Everyone involved in the crash is between 19 to 23 years old.
The cause of the crash remained under investigation Monday morning.
