No Murder Charges in Homeless Man's Death

A prosecutor says no homicide charges will be filed against four suspects in the death of a homeless man beaten inside a self-service laundry in eastern Pennsylvania.

Berks County District Attorney John Adams said will instead pursue aggravated assault charges against the four suspects in the Jan. 11 attack on 49-year-old Robert Mohler, which was captured on surveillance video.

Mohler was treated for head and internal injuries after he was repeatedly punched and kicked inside the Penn Street Laundromat in Reading, where he had been sleeping with the owner's permission.

Shortly after his release from Reading Hospital, Mohler was found dead.

The county coroner said his death stemmed from a head injury in the assault, but Adams said another forensic pathologist was unable to determine the cause of death.
