NJ Lawmaker ‘Likes' Racy, Violent Facebook Pages

The "liked" pages include one with videos of people being assaulted, and a second one featuring photos of clothed women with big backsides

A New Jersey legislator has stirred up controversy again on Facebook.

Democratic Assemblyman Charles Mainor of Jersey City apologized a year ago for a Facebook post in which he referred to the Philadelphia Eagles as "gaybirds."

Now, The Jersey Journal reports Mainor had "liked" a Facebook page featuring videos of people being assaulted, and a second one featuring photos of clothed women with big backsides.

Mainor is a policeman who chairs the Assembly Law and Public Safety Committee. He has since "unliked" the two pages.

He tells the Journal his daughter had showed him the assault page and he "liked" it to remember to return to it.

As for the other page, the unmarried legislator tells the newspaper: "Listen, I love women, but it shouldn't be on there."
