A Delaware man faces attempted murder charges after he allegedly kicked in the door of the mother of his child and stabbed the woman multiple times.
Earle Moore, of Wilmington, went to an apartment building on the unit block of O’Daniel Avenue Sunday night around 6:30, according to Newark Police.
Moore, 27, approached the locked door of a 29-year-old woman and kicked it in, according to investigators. The couple’s 9-year-old child was in the apartment at the time, police said.
A struggle ensued during which Moore grabbed a knife, investigators said.
The woman ran to a nearby apartment where Moore caught up to her and stabbed her multiple times before running off, according to police.

Medics rushed the woman to Christiana Hospital where she underwent emergency surgery for life-threatening injuries.
Officers caught up to Moore nearby a short time later.
Moore was charged with attempted first-degree murder, burglary and related counts.
He was sent to Howard R. Young Correctional unable to post $181,100 cash bond.
